St Peter’s Pupils Design Posters for CAFOD

The talented, artistic pupils of St Peter’s RC Primary School in Blackburn were asked to take part in a competition to design posters to promote this year’s CAFOD Harvest Fast Day. During September/October the pupils of both the Infant and Junior Departments designed posters around the theme, “put your heart into it,” CAFOD’s theme for schools this past Fast Day, which was linked to Pope Benedict’s theme, “Heart speaks unto Heart,” used during his recent papal visit. The fantastic results of the children’s efforts can be seen below, however, due to space restrictions we can only show the winners:

A big thank you is due to all the pupils who took part in the poster competition for their terrific CAFOD posters, you really “put your heart” into designing and drawing them; congratulations to the winners! Well done to pupils, parents and staff for their generous fundraising efforts over the Harvest Fast Day, you raised £421.09 by holding a non-uniform day and handing out CAFOD quiz sheets, sold for 50p each. This money will help fund CAFOD’s vital work in over 50 countries worldwide, helping communities lift themselves out of poverty; to see examples of the work CAFOD is doing with its partners to help change people’s lives, click on the links below:
