Sing Out for Poverty

All over the country pupils were encouraged to sing out for poverty on Monday 17th October. The head of music at Loreto, Chorlton, took up the challenge and taught the special song to all the year 7 pupils. The picture shows one of the pupils who did a solo along with a teacher who was also brave enough to sing in front of her 150 pupils. The singers were accompanied by a small group of musicians and between them they raised the roof. Prior to the singing, I gave a brief assembly about poverty to set the scene before the singing.
