Salford goes to the Houses of Parliament!

On 7th November, Anne Marie, Mary and myself went down to the Houses of Parliament , where John Bercow had allowed CAFOD to use the state rooms in the speaker’s house for a reception with the parliamentary friends of CAFOD. We listened to Bishop John Arnold, the chair of CAFOD’s board of trustees, Chris Bain and a baroness speak about the good work done by our MP correspondents. We had the opportunity to speak with Ivan Lewis, the Bury South MP and hope that he will join us for an evening in Salford. It was wonderful to see that the hard work done by our campaigners is well thought of by the parliamentary friends of CAFOD and is instructive for them in the work in the House serving the people.
