Walk for Water on the Leeds/Liverpool Canal

The sun managed to shine as a group of 30 CAFOD supporters from 3 Diocese of Salford towns, walked in solidarity for the CAFOD “Thirst for Change” Water Campaign. Supporters from Rawtenstall, Padiham and Burnley were led by Fred Uttley on a pleasant 3 to 4 mile walk helped along by young men from St John Padiham’s Scout Group who took turns to carry a bucket of water from the canal.

The group are hoping to raise funds for the “Thirst for Change” Lenten Water Appeal.

Well done!!
