60 CAFOD supporters complete Great Manchester Run

This year over 60 CAFOD runners from across the North West gathered in Manchester city centre on May 26th to take part in the 10 kilometre Great Manchester Run. Among them were staff and students from three North West Catholic schools, including Chorlton’s Loreto High School, Aquinas College in Stockport and Newman College in Preston. The sun shone on their fantastic efforts, ably supported by Salford volunteers Aline Yasmine and Fred Uttley. Ann Wilson, running the event again this year for CAFOD, was proud of the continuously high turnout and the enthusiasm of runners and supporters alike. Chris Broadbent from the Catholic Deaf Group at St Patrick’s Collyhurst in Manchester ran the course in a very respectable time to raise money for CAFOD (pictured here with Ann enjoying a well-deserved cuppa after their great efforts).
