Young Bloggers

Congratulations to year 10 pupils at Ss John Fisher & Thomas More RC High School in Colne, for their successful application for CAFOD’s young bloggers. These four pupils creatively put together and submitted their own video blog focused on CAFOD’s new ‘One Climate, One World’ campaign. Their passion for CAFOD’s work and their understanding of the issues climate change encouraged them to use their skills to help other young people engage with the new campaign.
Therefore, they are very excited for the opportunity to travel to Brentwood for the young bloggers conference, where they will spend time sharing ideas and learning how to blog, or record video blogs on issues of climate justice, participate in activities that will influence other young people throughout England and Wales.

This quote was taken from the website –

Lucy Jardine from CAFOD’s youth team said:
“It’s exciting times for our climate campaign. Soon our existing campaigners will be joined by groups of 11-15 year olds, who will be blogging throughout 2015 on all kinds of issues relating to climate justice.
They’ll also look at how climate change affects our local communities as well as communities overseas, and they’ll be gathering together for three days of media and campaigns training in January.
We encourage any young people interested in climate issues to apply
