Mark Wiggin of Caritas Salford suggested I invite you to an event we are arranging in April, together with The Booth Centre. Housing Justice is the national voice of Christian action on homelessness and housing need.
Our aim is to bring together people from churches, community projects, the statutory and voluntary housing and homelessness sector to look at current issues, including the austerity agenda, welfare reform, and the growing shortage of genuinely affordable housing. There will be opportunity to discuss the issues and explore responses, both at local and national level. A particular emphasis will be on on the role of churches in advocacy and action on local need.
We have an excellent panel of speakers and useful and highly relevant workshops lined up.
The roadshow is on Thursday 16 April 10.00-3.00 at the Cathedral Centre in Salford. Other organisations which will be there on the day include Green Pastures, Church Action on Poverty, Boaz Trust/NACCOM and Chapter One.
Please find a poster to download and display on our website or book your place via Eventbrite for just £10
We hope you will join us for what should be a really worthwhile day. If you have any queries do get in touch on my details below
