St Cecilia’s CAFOD Link Group proudly show their CAFOD Salford Award

Congratulations and well done! Throughout the year St Cecilia’s RC High School’s CAFOD Link Group has made amazing strides with its work for CAFOD! Ged Edwards, the Diocese of Salford CAFOD manager presented the CAFOD Salford Action for Global Justice Award and a small Romero cross to two of the students from the group who were proud to receive it on behalf of the group.

Mr Edwards said that during the last three years he has worked with the group, he has noticed that the group has grown in numbers, are as active and enthusiastic as ever and thus belong to one of the most dynamic groups in the diocese. He also thanked them for promoting Fairtrade in the school and local community. At the end of the presentation he invited the CAFOD Group to take part in the CAFOD School Groups Conference; Climate Change: making a Difference in Urmston in July. A sincere thank you goes to everyone who has been and is supporting the CAFOD Group and the Fairtrade stall.

If you have a group of young people who would like to know more about the work of CAFOD and global justice then please contact the CAFOD Salford office on 0161 705 0605 or visit the CAFOD website for more information for schools:
