Celebrating Andrea Allcock, one of our education volunteers

Andrea has just completed her first year of volunteering for CAFOD, as an education volunteer. She has been a wonderful addition to the volunteer team in Salford and has visited a number of schools, both primary and secondary.

Andrea works brilliantly with both the children and the teachers that she meets. She is great at engaging children with CAFOD’s stories, on a level they can understand. Often after Andrea’s visits, children enthusiastically take up fundraising and other CAFOD activities in school. She works closely with the teachers, and keep in touch after her visit. She’s also great at sharing her experiences on Twitter!

Andrea offers a lot to her volunteering with CAFOD, often going out of her way to help when needed, despite having a busy family life!

We’d like to say a big thank you to Andrea for doing so much for CAFOD and the schools she works in, even in her first year of volunteering!andrea
